A friend gave me a cotton sundress especially to recycle – it didn’t fit her or me and had seen better days – as you’ll probably spot in the picture below.
So I chopped off the top bit and made some pleated pockets from it then added some big pale blue buttons that came off an old cardigan of mine.Then I added a frill made from a bit of old duvet cover.
I simply turned over the top of the skirt to make the waistband and threaded it through with some thick elastic and voila – a new skirt.
Now I’m just waiting for some slightly warmer weather. Though I shouldn’t complain too much. It’s a lovely sunny day today.
